SBDM Parent Nominations and Election
CMMS is currently accepting nominations for parent representatives to serve one year (2026-27) on the School Based Decision Making Council (SBDM).
Qualifications: A parent council member shall be a parent, step- parent, foster parent, or legal guardian of a student attending the school during the council member’s term of office. A parent is ineligible if he/she is an employee or a relative of an employee (father, mother, brother, sister, husband, wife, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, son-in-law, daughter-in-law) of the school or for the district central office, or a local school board member or the spouse of a school board member. SBDM representatives are required to attend a training session (six hours for a new member or three hours for an experienced member) and monthly meetings.
If you would like to be on the parent ballot or nominate someone for the CMMS SBDM election, please complete the bottom section of this form and return it to the school by 3:00 pm. Tuesday, May 12th 2026. The form will be available in the CMMS office, and a digital version will be available on our website, Facebook page, or via email if requested.
Nominees will be posted on May 13, 2026, on the front door and on our website and Facebook page.
Elections/voting will be held at CMMS on Thursday and Friday, May 14 and 15, from 7:30 am to
6:00 pm. You must have a student enrolled in CMMS for the 2026-27 school year to vote. Voting will be in person only.
